Norwood Primary School is located on Gunthorpe Road and can also be accessed by pedestrians through gates on Gunthorpe Road, Elter Walk, and Coniston Road.

Vehicle access for disabled users, including designated parking, is available via the large car park gate on Gunthorpe Road.  Please note that this provision is for Blue Badge holders only.

During school hours, all school gates are locked.  Access is restricted to:

• Elter Walk (pedestrian access only) - access is via an intercom-controlled gate.
• Gunthorpe Road car park gate (vehicle access only) - access is via an intercom-controlled gate.

The school consists of a single-storey building with ramp access and suitable exit provision at key points of the building.

The school is equipped with a hearing loop facility and an audio and visual fire alarm system. Assembly points are clearly signposted on the playground and shown on exit route maps displayed across the school.

There are two accessible (disabled) toilet facilities on site.
