Attendance

The Importance of Attendance

At our school, we believe that excellent attendance is essential for every child’s success. Children who attend school regularly are more likely to achieve well, develop positive friendships, and feel confident and secure in their learning environment.

Every school day provides valuable opportunities for children to build key skills in reading, writing and maths, as well as social skills such as teamwork, resilience and independence. When a child misses school, even for short periods, they can find it difficult to keep up with their learning and may feel unsettled on their return.

We understand that some absences are unavoidable due to illness or exceptional circumstances. However, we ask parents and carers to ensure that holidays, appointments and other activities are planned outside of school time wherever possible.

By working together to promote good attendance and punctuality, we give children the best possible start in life. Regular attendance helps children develop strong routines, a positive attitude towards learning, and the foundations they need to thrive both in school and beyond.

If you have concerns about your child’s attendance, we are always here to help and support.
