Clubs at Norwood are chosen by the pupils. Each year, children and parents/carers are consulted regarding the types of clubs that the children would like to engage in.

Most of our clubs are delivered by outside providers who are qualified coaches and have strengths within sport. Youth Dreams Project deliver a range of clubs and many of the coaches have previously played for professional sports teams.

A Sporting Hand deliver a football club for pupils with a range of abilities. Children who show potential for furthering their skills are directed towards teams within Peterborough to begin playing against teams within tournaments.

Our very own, Mr Johnson delivers football to pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6. Some of these pupils are then selected to represent Norwood Primary School in inter-school competitions and tournaments.

Mrs Godden, our art teaching assistant, delivers Art club to pupils across school. Each week, children work towards a piece of artwork to bring home.

Clubs delivered by outside providers and Art club (due to purchase of resources) cost £3 per session. We ask that parents/carers pay for a full term in advance.

Working parents/carers that require a breakfast/ after school care club may be interested in Playhouse who are an organisation managed by Barnardos. Playhouse are situated on Gunthorpe Road and are open from 8am-6pm. Playhouse will walk children to school for the start of the school day and collect from Norwood at 3:15pm. If you would like more details, please contact Playhouse direct on: 01733 571187.
