Topic: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
This term in English we will be looking at description using the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We will delve into the wonderful world of sweets, chocolate and the memorable characters that appear throughout the text. We will also be looking at our handwriting, ensuring that at all times we are striving to improve how we write and present our work.
In Maths we will be looking at fractions, multiplication and division. This will be done in a very practical way so that we can really grasp these important concepts of maths. We have worked very hard so far this year in Maths, and we look forward to the upcoming topics.
In Science we will be continuing to look at Seasonal change alongside the topic of Animals and Humans. In this topic we will be looking at identifying and naming a variety of common animals and being able to describe and compare them. We will also look at identifying, naming, drawing and labelling the basic parts of the human body. We will also be looking at which part of the body is associated with each sense.
In RE we will be looking at the question ‘What makes a place special?’ We will be looking at a variety of places and thinking about what makes them special to us as well as other people around us. This links well into our PSHE work on diversity and communities.
We are looking forward to a great term ahead!
